Composer Liam Lawton reflects on how his music allows him to express his faith and previews two upcoming collections for 2015.
Fr Liam is a priest of the Diocese of Kildare & Leighlin with a full-time music ministry. He has produced a number of liturgical collections and Mass Settings (eg The Glenalough Mass) which have become very familiar in churches across Ireland and beyond.
Along with composing and performing, Fr Liam conducts workshops for choirs.
His work and performances have brought him to many world stages such as Carnegie Hall, New York, Chicago Symphony Hall. Annahiem Convention Centre Los Angeles, National Concert Hall Dublin, The Paul VI Auditorium at the Vatican, The White House and many of the world’s sacred sites.
Fr Liam is also an author of two books – ‘The Hope Prayer’ and ‘Where God Hides’.
