John Bruton
John Bruton served as An Taoiseach, or Prime Minister of Ireland for three years (1994-1997). Until his appointment as the European Union Ambassador to the US (1999-2004), he was a Vice-President of the European People’s Party.
Since 2010 he has been President of the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) Ireland. He is originally from Dunboyne in County Meath, where he still lives with his wife and family. He was educated in University College Dublin.

Christian Democracy is a synthesis of the insights of Christian tradition, which stresses the uniqueness of each person created by God, and the democratic tradition, which stresses the right of the governed to a government that represents them.
Far from being in opposition to one another, these two traditions reinforce, and complement, one another.
