The Knock Summer Festival is a one day event taking place on the 28th-July-2012.
It is for all young people between the ages of 17-30.
Our main aim is to bring young people together in a faith setting and help them to deepen their relationship with Christ, explore, ignite and celebrate their faith with other young people.
The event will have interactive talks, prayer, testimonies from young people, drama and music. We will finish the day with the celebration of the Eucharist, with a step by step guide to the new translation.
There will also be a lot of time for young people to engage in conversation, reflect on what they have heard, chill out and have fun!
Theme
‘ONE’
’‘Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread’1Corn 10:17.
The theme of this year’s festival is ‘ONE’. We will be concentrating on three themes of ONE in relation to the Church. One Love, One Community, One Body
ONE: LOVE: Gods love for us is more powerful than we can ever imagine. God loves us unconditionally and he wants us to know and experience that. It is through His love that we can then go out and show that love to the world.
ONE: Community: Why is a community so important, how can it help us grow in Gods love, how is it possible that so many people can be connected as one through Community.
ONE: BODY: It is above all at the Eucharist that Christians become one in Christ, sharing together as ‘one body’ the ‘one bread’ of the Lord.
